Williamson County Emergency Services District 9 is currently accepting Request for Proposal (RFP)


Request for Proposals — Enhancing Public Safety Awareness and Communication Strategies


Williamson County Emergency Services District #9 (WESD9) is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced communications organizations to develop and implement a comprehensive public safety awareness and communication strategy.


Here are some frequently ask questions concerning the RFP.

  • What community outreach is currently done by the emergency management district?

    No consistent outreach is currently done.

  • What is currently done to reach out to the Spanish-speaking population?

    No consistent outreach is currently done.

  • What are the most significant activities undertaken by the emergency district that residents are unaware of taking place?

    No activities are conducted by the ESD.

  • Are there staff members whose job is community outreach? If so, how many employees are assigned to that role?

    There is no staff for community outreach. 

  • Are there staff members responsible for managing social media accounts? If so, how many staff members are dedicated to that role?

    There is no staff for community outreach.

All proposals are due no later than March 18, 2024; 12:00 PM CST. Please put “Public Safety Awareness and Communications Strategies RFP” in the email subject line.

The Board of Commissioners for Williamson County Emergency Service Distritct No. 9 (WCESD9) would like to thank all the residents who came out and attended our First Responder Day event on Octover 14. It was an excellent opportunity to get to know y our first responders, neighbors, ask questions related to the District, and understand the Sales and Use Tax Election proposition on the ballot for November 7, 2023.


The even was a means to raise community awareness and fammiliarity with the needs of the District and meet the first responders who serve the residnts of the District. The WCESD 9 Board of Commissioners cares about its residents and always seeks ways to engage with community members.
